jannelle Reed photography is glad to be located in Corpus Christi, Texas. jannelle’s long list of prior residences has helped her appreciate living and working in the Coastal Bend. As a non-native to the area, she still views the city with fresh eyes and appreciates the picturesque beaches and rustic abandon alike. Whether she is photographing children playing in the sand or teens meandering humble streets of downtown, jannelle captures the light around and within the souls of ‘Corpus’.
She sees in pictures! You know the kind of footage you see in movies when the film maker is portraying a flashback? (You’ll experience this first hand during the consultation.) That’s how she encounters life. As a child, she spent hours memorizing the photos of her father’s time in Vietnam. Those photos told a story she will never fully understand. Those photos made her appreciate photography for the powerful message it captures, conveys and preserves. From that point, she looked at photographs with a different, more discerning set of lenses.
With a Bachelor of Social Work and years of studying photography, she has a keen ability to illustrate your story. She will use light, environment, emotion, relationship, experience and her finely honed skills as a professional photographer to bring you photos you’ll pass down for generations.
She understands her clients because what’s important to them is important to her. She has a spirited child and a wonderful husband, both of whom inspire her every day! She treasures her furrier family members even though they can make a mess of the studio. She’s a Christian learning more every day about the wonder of grace. She’s creative but organizes, maps and scrubs every brilliant idea first. She’s a bit snobby about the difference between vintage, old-timey and all the junk that can fall in between. Even though her southern drawl has long since left, she can still make a mean skillet of corn bread. And finally, she can’t convince herself to settle for mediocre. Thus, you can be sure she’ll work overtime making sure your experience is top notch.
